The Gallery
		With a degree in Illustration and a career in marketing and arts related business, Shirley Crowther has been an independent art agent since 1998 when she started a commissioning agency, Artists in Residence. She established The Jointure Studios in Sussex as a gallery venue in 2001, and subsequently set up Shirley Crowther contemporary art in 2004. She is a member of AWAD (Association of Women Art Dealers) and The Federation of Small Businesses. Alongside her at exhibitions and fairs you will meet assistants who all have an arts background.

Selection
		If you would like help in choosing and displaying artwork, Shirley would be delighted to visit your home or workplace to discuss options and get a feel for the type of work you like and what would suit the location. Artworks can be sourced not only this gallery, but through many other artists and galleries across the UK: paintings, original prints and applied arts. We can also recommend framers and other related art services. Bewildered by so much to see at Art Fairs? Shirley can be employed to act as your guide, saving you time and energy, and making it much easier to find artworks to suit you.

Designers
		We are experienced in working with design specialists, helping them with sourcing and selecting artworks to fulfill their briefs, whether for private homes, corporate buildings or even yachts. (image: we provided a series of paintings by Gilly McCadden for this new Oyster 625)

Trial
		It's often so difficult to know how a particular painting will look hanging in your home or business premises. To help ensure it's the right piece, Shirley offers clients the opportunity of taking artworks on a short-term trial basis, with no obligation to buy, charging only for the cost of return if not kept.

Rental Scheme
		We are offering a new service for clients who would prefer to rent, rather than buy, artworks. Please see Rental Scheme for details and participating artists.

Commissions
		Many of our artists are happy to create individual pieces for clients, particularly artworks to suit specific locations. All commissions are fully monitored from brief to finished piece, to ensure the project runs smoothly and clients are delighted with the result. 		Are you looking to buy some original art but don't know where to start? We are happy to offer advice, trial loan of artworks and flexible terms of payment.

Art Courses
		"Be Free & Fabulous! Inspiration for the Sake of it!" Two short art courses at The Jointure Studios run by Frances Hatch & Carolyn Genders, both practicing artists and Senior Tutors at West Dean College, aimed at liberating students of all levels with an emphasis on 'the process' rather than 'the result'.
