Sandra Whitmore

Sandra studied Graphics at Surrey Institute of Art and Design before following a career in advertising. She worked as an Art Director for agencies in London and Paris, then went on to set up her own company producing storyboards and illustrations.

She has now been painting professionally for some ten years, inspired primarily by the Sussex landscape. The rhythm of the tides; the changing light of different weathers; Chichester Harbour basin or walks among the Downland woods - these are her starting point which she develops with the texture of paint and linear marks to reflect the sculptural images before her.
