During the winter months Sandra works from a cottage on the estuary at Bosham from where she can watch the light change, with the mood of the landscape constantly in flux. In Summer she is based at her home deep in the Sussex woods, surrounded by the garden she loves.
Sandra's gentle but deeply rooted enthusiasm for the very elements of landscape, water and plants, and her openness to explore the creative response, provide an ongoing fund of inspiration and delight.
Before becoming a full-time artist, Sandra worked as an art director and illustrator. The importance of line and drawing in her work stems from the graphic skills used then and in the last twelve years she has combined these with sensitive use of colour, texture and combination of media.
Sandra's paintings have been shown at London art fairs and in Sussex in galleries and during the Brighton and Arundel Festivals. She has shown with Shirley Crowther contemporary art since 2007.
