Sandra Whitmore

Sandra studied Graphics at Surrey Institute of Art and Design before following a career in advertising. She worked as an Art Director for agencies in London and Paris, then went on to set up her own company producing storyboards and illustrations.

She now paints full time, inspired by the Sussex landscape. The thythm of the tides and extremes of weather are reflected in her winter paintings; striding around Chichester Harbour or along the Downs on a cold winter's day and shivering with a sketchbook, this is her starting point which she develops with the texture of paint and linear marks to reflect the sculptural images before her.
